Will include a talk by Dr. Philip Napoli, historian and Interim Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Brooklyn College, who will share some of his research on veterans' oral histories.

Bio:

Philip F. Napoli is an associate professor of history and Interim Dean of the Brooklyn College School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Napoli got his undergraduate degree at McGill University in Montréal in 1982, and his PhD in US history in 1998. In 2001 he began teaching full-time at Brooklyn College.

In 2013, Hill and Wang published his book Bringing It All Back Home: An Oral History of New York City’s Vietnam Veterans.  He is presently preparing a book about the history of the Vietnam veterans’ movement.
